Bringing Anime to the Streets: Translating Fandom into a Digital Experience

Godarc has always been more than just apparel—it’s about wearable art, celebrating anime stories, and giving fans a way to carry their favorite worlds with them every day. But the digital experience hadn’t fully captured that energy. The challenge? To translate the thrill of anime culture into an online space that feels just as bold, immersive, and alive as the characters themselves.
Research & Discovery
We began by immersing ourselves in the world of anime-inspired streetwear in India, with a focus on Godarc’s rising influence as a homegrown brand for fans who want to wear their passion. Through conversations with anime enthusiasts, fashion communities, and early customers—as well as a review of global and local streetwear labels—we uncovered valuable insights into audience expectations, style preferences, and digital shopping behaviors. This research laid the foundation for our strategy to build a platform that captures the creativity, energy, and individuality at the heart of Godarc.
Wireframing & Prototyping
With a clear focus on Godarc’s community of anime fans, streetwear enthusiasts, and first-time shoppers, we designed wireframes that emphasized simplicity and discovery. The prototypes showcased core experiences such as product browsing, collection highlights, detailed sizing guides, and a smooth checkout flow. We prioritized clean navigation, responsive layouts, and interactive elements that reflect the bold, dynamic spirit of anime culture. Each prototype was tested and refined to ensure it resonated with users of all styles, interests, and comfort levels with online shopping.
Design & Development
Inspired by the bold and expressive world of anime, we built a visual identity that reflects the same energy, detail, and storytelling found in every series. User Testing & Launch
